The World Museum in Liverpool is one of the finest multi-disciplinary museums in the country. The 13th Earl of Derby who started the collection by giving his own impressive natural history exhibits to the city founded it in 1851. There are literally thousands of artefacts on display here that cover archaeology, ethnology, natural and physical science as well as the ever-popular Planetarium.
