Showcasing St Helens' main industry, the World of Glass guides you through the history of the world-famous Pilkington Company and reveals the secrets of the glassmaking process. As well as regular glass blowing demonstrations, visitors can see a grade II* listed Victorian glass furnace and explore the maze of connecting underground tunnels. The museum also houses an extensive collection of glassware from Ancient Egypt to the present day.
