Located within the beautiful parklands on the edge of Derry, this cottage is the place where Amelia Earhart stayed after she landed her aeroplane in 1932. She became the first woman to make a solo flight across the Atlantic Ocean and was considered to be one of the great groundbreakers in aviation and women’s liberation at this time. This is an interesting place to visit for fans of history.
