The original observatory and foundation for studying the stars here was founded in 1790 by Archbishop Richard Robinson. The modern study centre keeps to the same principles of excellence in research as the earliest astronomers did. The centre is filled with interesting and cutting edge research on the state of the universe and planets within it.
