A community of photographers who lived and worked in the city of Belfast founded this society and gallery in 1983. The idea behind the gallery was to operate a first class exhibition space where local people and visitors could see some of the most talented artists’ of the country’s work on display. Traditionally there has been a bias in the works of showing the development of the city itself, but on occasion many other themes are explored.
