The Craft Village is a unique area in the middle of the modern city centre. Located at the bottom of Shipquay Street, Craft Village transports you back to Derry as it was in the 16th to 19th centuries. The Craft Village provides an exciting new shopping experience. As you walk around Craft Village, you can watch as traditional craftsmen work, or women sell gifts in the traditional Irish shops. You can also relax in Craft Village’s coffee shop, or have a drink in the fully licensed bar. Bridie’s Cottage , as shown in the picture, is a unique 15th Century thatched house, and features music sessions throughout the Summer season each year.
