The Linen Hall was founded in 1788 and is one of the most historic and impressive heritage buildings in Belfast. The oldest library in the city, the collection is wide ranging, encompassing an extensive and comprehensive local studies library. The political collections chart the troubles of the province from the earliest times to the modern age, and ancient maps and photograph archives bring this history to life.
