Alnwick is a lovely town in Northumberland, to the north of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. It is centrally located for exploring the surrounding coast and countryside. Alnwick was recently voted as one of the best places in Britain to live. The town itself has a large ruined castle that is open to the public. Brizlee Tower in Hulne Park is also an attraction.

  Latest Alnwick Review

We have stayed in many delightful B&B's over the years in Alnwick which is in the heart of Northumberland. There are a number of National Trust properties in the area and my favourited are Lindisfarne Castle and Cragside Estate.

There are so many activities to take part in it is no wonder that we return time and time again; we never get bored. There are some beautifull walks or if cycling is your thing there are lots of cycle routes to explore.

Alnwick has it all whether you...

Alnwick and its immediate surrounding area is one of the most beautiful places in Northumberland. There is so much to see and do from Castles to explore to villages to visit. There are sandy beaches to enjoy in the nicer weather and on a rainy day there are welcoming stately homes to look around. It is easy to reach from the A1 and lots of hotels to choose from if you want a longer stay.   - Mich22
