The Grace Darling Museum is dedicated to one of the most famous daughters of this region and a heroine that has commanded the respect of people from across the country for generations. The museum was established by the RNLI who pay respects here to the woman who saved so many souls along with her father after the shipwreck of the SS Forfarshire in 1838.
