Hartlepool is a town on the North Sea coast of Teesside. An abbey was founded here in 640, and the town later grew to be an important industrial centre and port. Today it has a busy commercial centre, and is also home to an excellent museum and recreation of an 18th century British sea port. It also has a marina and football club.

  Latest Hartlepool Review

Hartlepool is a welcoming town in the North East of England and I found that the people there are very warm and friendly. We stayed at Hardwick hall on the outskirts. If you prefer a more central location there are lots of B&Bs and even campling facilities. There is a bustling shopping centre for some retail therapy and a nice sandy beach for relaxation.   - Stuart
