Enjoy the leisurely pace of yesteryear! Travel by our 15" gauge steam engine the ’Lady Augusta’ as she journeys from Heatherslaw Mill to Etal Castle on our return line of 6.4 kilometres. The railway gives you a good view of the River Till and of the wildlife - swans, moorhens, herons and kingfishers are just some of the residents you may spot along the way. Stay a while in Etal village with its castle, thatched cottages and pub, and the Lavender tea rooms where a warm welcome awaits.
