Explore, experience and enjoy... Hexham Abbey. Originally a Benedictine Abbey, then an Augustinian Priory and the Parish Church of Hexham, this has been a place of Christian workship since 674 AD. Worship is still offered here to God every day, as it was in St. Wilfrid’s day. We hope that you will not only view its treasures but also find refreshment and peace within its walls.
