Known as High Force, this naturally formed waterfall is a site to behold. The winding woodland paths that lead up to the waterfall are magical and the rumbling sounds of the flowing water from the River Tees guides visitors to the heart of this spectacular site. Located in Forest-in-Teesdale, the High Force waterfall deserves a visit and visitors who don’t mind getting a bit wet should follow the wooden stairs to the top of the falls to look down at the plunge pool that swirls 21ft beneath the falls.
