This 19th Century former village school features some of the most beautiful and extensive biblical murals anywhere in Scotland. Louisa, Marchioness of Waterford over a period of many years, produced the famous collection. Local people were used as models for the biblical scenes, so if you have any ancestors who lived in this area in the mid 19th Century, they may well be on the walls.
