The Museum of Hartlepool is an award winning experience telling the story of the past of this interesting borough. There is a real ‘fishing cobble’ to climb aboard, exhibits relating to the legend of sea monsters, a Celtic ‘roundhouse’ building, a gas lighthouse and much more inside. The largest exhibit is moored outside the museum, the PSS Wingfield Castle, built and launched back in Hartlepool in 1934.
