The Tynemouth Watch House Museum houses the Tynemouth Volunteer Life Brigade, a voluntary shore based rescue service that was established in 1864. The small museum displays artefacts, pictures and relics from old shipwrecks that have been found or dealt with by the brigade. The collection chronicles the lives of the brave men who have manned this service for hundreds of years.
