The Vane Gallery was founded in 1997 as a cutting edge contemporary art space in the heart of Newcastle. The purpose of the gallery is to provide a sustainable introduction to contemporary art for local people and visitors to the area. The large space shows visiting work from across the world as part of curated and thematic exhibitions, as well as showcasing much of the local talent that the city and region has to offer.
