The Scalloway Museum has a fascinating display largely dedicated to the ‘Shetland Bus Operation’. This was an operation that took place during the Second World War and saw the movement of primarily Norwegian freedom fighters from the base in Scalloway across the Atlantic. The collection includes an extensive archive of photographs and artefacts used during the movement.
