A British naval base during WWI and WWII, Scapa Flow is now a museum with many interesting relics from the war days. The converted pump house tody provides a comprehensive series of interpretative displays, as well as being home to a fascinating outside collection of military equipment such as vehicles and guns. Advance booking is required for the ferry from Houton to Lyness.
