The Shetland Crofthouse Museum is a typical example of a thatched 19th Century house on the islands, which has been restored using traditional methods to make it look as it would have done both inside and out when it was constructed. The warm peat fire is a welcoming sight as you enter the building. Within is a fine collection of antique furniture from the islands, as well as some collected artworks on the walls.
