Abbots Wood is a fine example of a well preserved historic woodland area that has been allowed to grow and develop without too much intervention by humans. The woods are open to the public and are a great place to spot some unusual wild life and beautiful plant life. A place of tranquillity and beauty it is one of Sussex's hidden gems.
