The small Kent village of Ash, near Sandwich, has two churches within its boundary, the impressive medieval St Nicholas’ Church and the modern Ash United Reformed Church. The latter church is located a short distance from St Nicholas’ and provides a place of worship for followers as well as an important meeting place for many of Ash’s community groups that include the local Scouts and Brownies and groups working for the good of local old age pensioners.
