Ashdown Forest covers over 6,400 acres of the High Weald in the rolling hills of East Sussex, although in ancient times it was thought to have been at least twice that size. This enormous forest attracts visitors from far and wide to enjoy its unique plant and wildlife, walk the numerous tracks or ride down the bridleways. The forest has an official visitor and reception centre where you can obtain detailed maps and tracks to suit your needs. There are over fifty car parks around the forest and countless designated picnic areas.
