Bexhill Bowling Club attracted its first players in 1907 and a club was established later the same year. Five years later the club became affiliated with the Sussex County Bowling Association. Over the next few years the popularity of the club continued to grow and soon outgrew its original grounds in Egerton Park. An area of land at Polegrove Recreational Ground was allocated to the expansion in 1924 and the club has remained there ever since.
