The County of Kent has always been famous for its apples and pears but increasingly it is also becoming well known for its vineyards, such as Biddenden Vineyard near to Tenterden. The vineyard at Biddenden was established in 1969 and has grown over the years and today the site grows nine varieties of grape. These are made on site into wine, which can be tasted along with local ciders and apple and other fruit juices.
