Borstal Cricket and Bowls Club was founded in 1988 and the following year land was acquired in Borstal for the clubhouse and neat lawns to be laid. The clubhouse has quite extensive facilities for both cricket and bowls matches and is also available for receptions. Today Borstal Cricket and Bowls Club is a thriving club which holds regular competitions with other local bowls clubs as well as taking part in tournaments and show games for visitors.
