Brighton and Hove in Bloom is an annual event held by the local authority to help promote the towns and promote horticulture. Although the centrepiece of the event is in Victoria Gardens close to the main city centre in Brighton, throughout the two districts many of the public parks and gardens have been planted with a special selection of seasonal plants that brighten up the borough and create a sweet smell of summer.
