The Romans arrived in Canterbury nearly two thousand years ago. They left their mark, and this underground Museum offers a glimpse into a Roman City long since buried under today’s. Highlights include underground remains of a Roman town house, complete with mosaics, and reconstructions of a Roman market place and a kitchen. Look out for the hands-on "touch the past" area where you can become an archaeologist and investigate and handle real Roman artefacts.
