Today the former Navy dockyard at Chatham is now part of a multi-million pound development with shops, cinemas and restaurants and is home to over 300 yachts. Chatham Maritime Marina is a great place to start exploring the River Medway, which is navigable for 13 miles between Rochester Bridge and Sheerness and for those boats with less than 2 metres draught right the way to Tonbridge.
