Churchill Square is historically one of the most important places in Brighton, the centre of community affairs. The area has for centuries been a place of trading and and a place of social discourse for the people of Brighton. This is still true today. Although the square has been completely renovated in recent years, it is still very important to the people of Brighton who gather there to rest, to catch a bus and to admire the fine sculptures that stand within the square.
