Clock Tower
North Street, Brighton, East Sussex BN1 - England, UK

Map
This magnificent clock tower was constructed in 1897 to honour the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria, who loved the town of Brighton and used to regularly visit the area. The original design was such that the ball on the poll at the top of the tower would rise up and then come crashing down again every hour. This function had to be disabled as the vibrations caused were disturbing the building's foundations.
