Coulsdon Public Bowling Green is situated on the edge of Farthing Downs, a vast expanse of public land which stretches between the old and new areas of Coulsdon. The green was installed to give free public access to the game of bowls for the people of the area and the many visitors who pass through. The bowls green is well used in the warmer months by a variety of casual players. Games tend to attract many spectators as the views from the green are so impressive.
