Edwin Hernry Landseer was a prolific painter and artist of the Victorian age. He loved Brighton and living in this grand old house in Regency Square just a few minutes walk from the sea. Landseer is probably best remembered for the design of the lions who stand on all four corners of Nelson's Column a the centre of the square. He was also noted for his paintings of animals including the world famous 'Monarch of the Glen'.
