Fair Green is the historic central point of Mitcham. It’s a simple piece of land flanked on every side by shops offices and historic buildings and close to the main road through the borough. The green is overshadowed by a magnificent clock tower at one end that is one of the iconic images of the area. A small café in the centre of the green is a popular place for locals and tourists alike to stop and enjoy a drink or a bite to eat whilst shopping or simply relaxing on the grass in the sunshine.
