Farthing Downs is a large open area between the older and newer parts of Coulsdon in Surrey. The downs have been reserved for generations by the local authority as a place of rest and relaxation for the people of the area. The rolling green hills and parkland are surrounded by mature trees and shrubberies. Many use the downs to run and walk, cycle and play. In the summer months the downs are particularly popular with families and picnickers.
