The story of the town of Folkestone is a long and interesting one. Because of its proximity to the Channel coast, the town has been an important position for the defence of the nation for a great deal of time. This is explored in many fine collections which feature photographs and documents relating to many conflicts. There are on display a range of antiques and some archaeological finds from the locality.
