The Garden of St Mary de Castro is a small, secluded garden surrounded by period houses, restaurants, cafés, art galleries and specialist shops. Well-stocked borders bring year-round colour to this charming area of the city. Early summer is especially good with foxgloves, poppies and alliums in flower. A good picnicking spot, the garden also has well-maintained lawns with seating and plenty of shade. St Mary de Castro means St Mary by the Castle.
