Hastings in Bloom is a scheme organised by the local authority to promote horticulture and to make the area look as beautiful as they can during the summer months. This large flower bed on the promenade is one of the central features of the campaign, but in almost all the public gardens across the town the council have planted special displays to brighten the area up.
