Young and old will thrill to the sight of this magnificent Victorian era British warship. HMS Gannet, now fully restored to its former glory by the work of volunteers and craftsmen is a unique steam and sail gunboat built at nearby Sheerness dockyard during the reign of Queen Victoria. The Gannet served in the Sudan during the time of General Gordon and is now permanent moored within a dry dock at the Historic Dockyard Chatham.
