The county of Kent has always enjoyed a close affinity with the Royal Air Force, and the men of the area played an important part in the battle of Britain, the most difficult challenge that the force ever undertook. Launching many planes from this area of the country, the museum explores the interesting way in which the battle unfolded, and Britain won against all odds.
