Located near the Pantiles in the town of Tunbridge Wells, this church is steeped in history. Dating from 1678, the church was the first permanent building in Tunbridge Wells. The interior plaster ceiling is stunning. The ceiling was plastered by Henry Doogood, in 1690, when the church was extended. During the 19th Century Queen Victoria regularly attended services here whenever she was in Tunbridge Wells. Her seat was at the front, looking over the preachers. The church became a parish church in 1889 and is still used for regular services today.
