Lyminge Forest is one of the largest areas of open space in Kent. The woodland at Lyminge has been used by walkers, cyclists and horse riders for generations. During the Second World War the forest was closed off to train soldiers and in some places remains of the concrete structures built remain to be discovered. Today the area is peaceful and calm and an oasis for wildlife to flourish There are several areas set aside for car parking.

My husband and I love walking our Spaniel Jessie around Lyminge Forest mostly because they are close but also because they are beautiful and tranquil. You rarely see another person but the natural beauty is enough to allow you to pause and relax after a stressful day. Jessie, of course, loves it too as she is always running around like the demented dog she is. I love this forest and totally recommend it to everyone.
