This interesting building originated as a 13th Century wayside hospital and has survived almost completely intact since that time. The structure is mainly flint and timber, and there are many unusual ancient building techniques to be observed around the building. There is a collection of Roman artefacts on display inside the house that have been collected from the rich sources of excavation sites across this area of Kent.
