Eastbourne Military Museum is housed in the basement of the Redoubt Fortress close to the beach front in the centre of the town. The area was at significant threat from a German invasion during the second world war and all sorts of provisions were made for such an attack. The museum helps visitors to understand a little of what went on during these troubled times.
