Mitcham Common is a large piece of beautiful public land on the edge of the small Surrey town. The area has always traditionally been one of importance because it is on the border between Greater London and Surrey and therefore traders would pass through on their way to the city. Today the common is a place of peace and tranquillity, leisure, relaxation and enjoyment.
