Monument Green is one of a couple of ancient public greens at the centre of Weybridge. Named after the huge monument to the Duchess of York hat stands on the edge of it, the green has for centuries been a place of meeting for the people of the borough. Today the centrally located garden is used primarily by local people to sit, relax and watch the world go by with a newspaper or a book.
