The building that is now known as the Pepperpot in the thriving town of Godalming near Guildford was initially built as the town hall in 1814 and has served many purposes ever since. It is a noticeable landmark as it stands on the crossroads of the town’s High Street and Church Street. The Pepperpot has been used for civic meetings, the town’s museum, and is still used as a public function room. There is an arched space under the building which was used as a marketplace.
