The Priory Museum holds a fascinating collection of social and local history exhibits, with regular exhibitions aimed at both children and adults. The Museum's home - a Grade I listed Tudor Mansion - is equally impressive. Highlights include the magnificent Holbein Hall Fire Place, which, it is thought, was designed by Hans Holbein for Henry VIII, an 18th-century carved staircase, said to be one of the best in England, and a series of Baroque wall paintings.
