Raystede makes a value for money day out for all the family. Founded in 1952 to protect unwanted animals and prevention of animal cruelty, the centre houses over a 1000 animals who now enjoy a peaceful and happy life at Raystede. Visitors can see and feed the horses, pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs, exotic birds, the geese and ducks in the lakeside sanctuaries, and many other animals. The centre also has a giftshop, visitor centre, picnic area and parking facilities.
