Housed in a covered slipway that was constructed in 1848, this lifeboat museum and gallery contains no less than seventeen lifeboats, many of which have earned their crew medals for bravery throughout the years. There is a range of sizes and ages of boat on show, from an original 1897 sailing lifeboat to the Arun class and the Blue Peter inflatable inshore boats. There are also photographs, film and many other artefacts to browse.
